  Myself and my friend visited here on the way back from a day at Lands End. The pub's atmosphere was somewhat unique; offering a kind of 17th century Inn and highwayman feel.
  We arrived very late when we ate here, so although the food was a little dried out, we understood this to be the reason. Having said this, the portions were huge and the whole set up was very professional, all staff were friendly and courteous and the food delicious.
  The manager was especially friendly and came over to speak to us a couple of times too, which was nice.
  So in all, I'd recommend this Inn both for it's service and atmosphere; and do not feel comfortable marking them down on the food, which would have been beautiful if we had arrived earlier in the day.
  I recommend their carvery.

  Have eaten here a couple of times over the last year. Food is ok, puddings are awesome a and staff are friendly.

  I had a small carvery. .. you can only have 2 thin slices of meat, the roast potatoes were not cooked properly as hard in the middle and quite tasteless, the carrots are kept in water at the carvery site and the swede was watery and tasteless. The cauliflower /broccoli cheese was nice and the gravey was ok. Shop bought Yorkshire puds so I was a little disappointed overall. Staff were friendly.
